Nice stay in the Dales

We had a lovely night here! The location was just perfect for exploring the Dales, and the bar area had a cozy vibe. The steak and ale pie that I ordered was a bit lacking on the filling for my taste, though. a fun place to stay, just wish the pie had more meat!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making for a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was outstanding—a delightful surprise that rivals fine dining, with every course savored completely. the early checkout at 10:00 AM felt a bit rushed, and the absence of a shower in the en suite limited the morning routine. the residents' lounge was cozy but rather small, leaving limited space for relaxation after a long day.

Our stay was in a lovely standard double room, which was cozy and beautifully decorated with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a shower with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Breakfast was superb, featuring a hearty full English with fresh ingredients. The bar area had this nice log fire vibe, perfect for relaxing with a drink after exploring. The staff were super friendly.

The Charles Bathurst Inn exudes charm with its elegant yet unfussy decor. The warm, inviting communal areas, including the cosy residents' lounge, were comfortably accessible and made for a delightful gathering space during our stay.

During our stay, we loved the easy access to the Graculus Sculptures, which are just about 5 km away, and the charm of the Swaledale Museum nearby for a dose of local culture. plus, the dining was delightful with an excellent pork chop that made our evenings special.

The Superior Double Room was super comfy and clean! The bed felt so nice, and the bathroom was just right. They even had yummy shortbread and nice-smelling bath products, which added a sweet touch. Loved the decor too. it had this charming vibe that made it cozy. Just a solid spot to relax.

It was a proper fit for a short layover in Richmond with great value for money. The staff were friendly and made my stay enjoyable. Just check the lunch menu to ensure it has what you want.
